There are two common types of basins used in bathrooms nowadays. One is pedestal basin and another is cabinet basin.
If the pedestal basin will be installed in the bathroom then you don’t need to worry about that. You can go for titling.
But if you want to install cabinet basin in the bathroom you need to make an RCC slab.
So, check that RCC slab is made in the bathroom before going to tiles work in the bathroom.
I would like to clarify a thing here is that, some cabinet basins can be bought as a complete package. In that case, you don’t need to make an RCC slab for that. But that is the rare case. Most of the time we need to make RCC slabs for cabinet basin.
5. Check A/C Drainage Pipe is Installed
Often we need to install a pipe for air conditioning drainage systems. If you have a separate drainage line for A/C then you don’t need to worry.
But most of the time we need to connect a pipe for A/C drainage system with the floor trap of the bathroom.
before going to tilling in a bathroom, make sure this pipe is installed.
6. Check The Long Pan is Installed
It is now a common practice to install high commode (English commode) in bathrooms. High commodes are installed after the tiles work. If you are going to install high commode, you can do tilling work without installing the commode.
But if you plan to install long pan which is also called Bangla commode then you need to install the commode before floor tiling work of the bathroom.
So, before going to fix floor tiles in bathrooms make sure the long pan is installed.
7. Make sure Door Frame is Fixed
No matter which door you’re going to install in the bathroom, you need to fix the door frame before tiles work. Check the door frame is fixed before tilling work. You will install the door shutter later.

You can install bathroom tiles before plastering outer walls. In that case, you need to be careful when doing outer wall plaster.
Because for plastering outer wall we need to make plastering stage. For making plastering stages, we often need to make support in rooms and bathrooms. These supports are made by making holes in walls.
So, it is very much possible that you need to make support from bathroom walls. If there need to make holes in bathrooms walls, it’s a common sense that you can’t install tiles in that bathroom.
So, make sure you complete the outer wall plaster before going to fix tiles in bathrooms.
Tiles are costly building materials. More than that once you purchased tiles for your bathroom, that can’t be found in the market later. If you need to break the tiles after fixing in bathrooms, it is very much possible that you won’t find the same tiles on the market.
So, make sure you’ve completed all the works which should be done before installing tiles in bathrooms.
